<p>Hi,</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>An article about Documaster in todays DN.</p>

<p>Documaster originally came from the dots project that was a loose collaboration between </p>
<p>HiO and DCU. A student in DCU called Alan Jue Liu did the first work on what became dots,</p>
<p>the following year<span style="font-size: 12pt;"> Dimitar, who also was a <span style="font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, EmojiFont, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', NotoColorEmoji, 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Android Emoji', EmojiSymbols; font-size: 16px;">was
a masters student,</span> continued to develop it</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">and built a data quality GUI on top of it. Dimitar </span><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> moved to Norway to concentrate on the project. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">After a while he teamed up with NXC, </span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">that became norse.digital, and they spun the project off as</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Documaster. <span style="font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, EmojiFont, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', NotoColorEmoji, 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Android Emoji', EmojiSymbols; font-size: 16px;">I am really
glad to see Documaster</span><span style="font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, EmojiFont, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', NotoColorEmoji, 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Android Emoji', EmojiSymbols; font-size: 16px;"> doing so well!</span></span></p>

<p>Dimitar donated a copy dots to me and this can be found here:</p>

<p>nikita shares the same persistence layer as dots, but other than that is a total rewrite. It has no code</p>
<p>from dots in it. To be fair every Noark 5 system should have that persistence layer.</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>I also built a web-based GUI n5 case-handling system on top of dots called edu-dots. That code was never </p>
<p>published for some reason.</p>
