I understand your view, but my proposal was not to try to make ISO<br>
happy, but to make the people interested in standardizing this happy.<br>
And ISO is nothing without the people volunteering to work within ISO.<br>
The people involved might not be there to please ISO, but to get a<br>
useful standard. Perhaps they are not aware of alternative approaches<br>
to standardization like IETF and ECMA, which both seem like more forward<br>
leaning standard organizations to me. :)<br>

Where can we learn more about the task force being formed? The URL you<br>
sent had very little information.<br>
