I just got an offer for a bokmal translation of GNU nano, and I have a doubt regarding the names I should use for the po files.
The current, outdated and unmaintained no.po in nano sources was made by Eivind Kjørstad ekj@vestdata.no, but I don't know what Norwegian variant is. I guess it's nynorsk, but I really don't know.
So, what are the correct names for my files: nn.po and nb.po, or no_nn.po no_nb.po, or something else?
I'm looking for someone who takes over the existing no.po. Any takers?
Thanks, Jordi

It is nynorsk, yes. There are many typos and some bokmål mixed in, though.

nn.po and nb.po. The code "nb" only recently got into glibc, but I think you should leave that problem to any packagers still stuck with old glibc.

I can do it.

Great; Kjetil these are your registry entries now (tell me whether you don't want to do the bokmål translation):
nb: <translator>Kjetil Torgrim Homme <mailto>kjetilho@linpro.no <disclaimer> <do>nano<do>nano_1_0
nn: <translator>Kjetil Torgrim Homme <mailto>kjetilho@linpro.no <disclaimer> <do>hello<do>nano<do>nano_1_0
Eivindt, I assume the assignment is okay with you, too.
Best wishes, Karl

Jordi said he had another volunteer for bokmål.

Okay, I just cleared the 'nb' entry:

Nice day!
