Hello Johnny,
Just now I noticed some mistakes in the Bokmaal translation of nano,
and took the liberty to make the following corrections directly in
the Norwegian PO file for nano at the TP:
msgid "Go to the first file in the list"
-msgstr "Gå til første linje i listen"
+msgstr "Gå til første fil i listen"
msgid "Go to the last file in the list"
-msgstr "Gå til siste linje i listen"
+msgstr "Gå til siste fil i listen"
msgid "Prev Line"
-msgstr "Forrige side"
+msgstr "Forrige linje"
msgid "Next Line"
-msgstr "Siste linje"
+msgstr "Neste linje"
I also made several whitespace corrections like these
(because some lines need to start with a space, to keep
the help text properly aligned with a one-space indent):
-"Følgende funksjonstaster er tilgjengelig i Søkemodus:\n"
+" Følgende funksjonstaster er tilgjengelig i Søkemodus:\n"
I also unwrapped a hard-wrapped fragment of help text, because
nano automatically wraps the help text to fit within the width of
the terminal (but to a maximum of 74 columns, because wide texts
are uncomfortable to read). Hard-wrapping the text would give a
messy-looking help text when the terminal is narrower.
I hope you don't mind me making those changes directly in the
PO file at the TP. If you do, then I apologize, and will in
future refrain from such amendments.
The whitespace changes and "Forrige linje" made it into nano-5.9,
but the other things I saw only after the release.
Regards,
Benno
