I have just packaged a new version of the dictionary proof-reading software we use for maintaining the Danish and Faroese dictionaries for spell-checking. It can be downloaded from:

+ Thanks to our Norwegian friends, some bugs have been removed in this version.
+ I have added an example of how to use Procmail to intercept proof-reading data for a dictionary.
- There is still no automatic configuration of Procmail.
+ The content of "ROOT" and "CORRECTION" fields are now automatically added to the list of word to proof-read (if it hasn't been done yet).
- The package is still missing an Sys-V init-script for launching the "random_words" daemon.
Comments, complaints and bug reports are very welcome. (so are bottles of good beer ;)

If you put a note in the distribution pointing people to the Crúbadán site (http://borel.slu.edu/crubadan/) I'd be happy to set up a cron job to email frequency lists similar to the way we did for Faroese.
All I would need are the following data:
ISO-639 language code Email address to send the lists to URLs of updated "good", "bad", "disputed" word lists How often I should send words and how many at a time
Dwayne, if you want to set this up for any of the S.A. languages just let me know

Definately! I will be looking through the scripts and working out how to host them. Once I understand how it all works I think we can start with the ZA languages. There are a lot of people wanting to volunteer on this effort.
