Hi,
Dirk Mueller asked me about the languages for Beta 1 and I suggested to include "everything that compiles" for this round.
For Beta 2/RC1, however, I would suggest to exclude the teams that show no real activity while sticking in the 30-40% range. And for the final release I would like to go back to the usual "completely translated kdelibs.po + 75% of kdebase" (where the latter should include desktop_kdebase.po).
As usual, all teams/maintainers who have objections against the "no real activity" verdict or think that they should be included no matter what will most likely also be included in the end if their stuff compiles. Nevertheless, I'd suggest we stick to these minimum requirements as much as possible on behalf of our users and the motivation of lazier teams. ;-) Any comments on this?
Also as usual, the relevant GUI statistics can be found at http://i18n.kde.org/stats/gui/HEAD/index.php, the release schedule at http://developer.kde.org/development-versions/kde-3.1-release-plan.html
Last question: Is there anybody among the language maintainers who would like to take over this part of watching the stats, running after the teams and creating the lists of candidates for inclusion in betas and releases? I have very little spare time these days. And I also have a feeling that I've done this job long enough already.
Regards,
Thomas
