Dear members,
I'm glad I finally found my way to _the_ source of the Norwegian dictionaries.
A few things about myself, and how I got here: I'm working on a project that will soon include a feature to highlight a set of words and their inflected forms in longer Norwegian (bokmål) documents. Since we already use Lucene for fulltext search, I thought I'd use Solr's HunSpellStemFilter to find inflected forms. Thus, I needed a Norwegian HunSpell dictionary, which in turn led me to the Extensions repo of OpenOffice. Now I know that my best option is to use dictionaries from version 2.1 at http://alioth.debian.org/frs/?group_id=30577.
To help others who might otherwise got through the same as I, I thought I'd join the project, and, for the time being, take responsibility for packaging an OpenOffice extension from the newest released version and sending them to the maintainers of the Extension Repository.
The contact page tells very little about the project... Is there any formal membership, or leaders who'll have to approve ideas like this? :)
Regards, Ádám

Do you know the ‘Norsk ordbank’ http://www.edd.uio.no/prosjekt/ordbanken/ data? These are full form lexicons (inflection dictionaries) for Norwegian Bokmål and Norwegian Bokmål, licensed under GPL 3.0. I believe this is a much better dataset to use in your project, as it contains *complete* inflection information on *all* words in the official Norwegian dictionaries, along with grammatical information on each inflection form.
Dear members,

And so are we :-)

Yes, indeed!

That is very helpful, indeed! I distributed the former versions, but I am happy to give that responsibility to you :-D The last time I did so I used some web pages for OOo/LIbreoffice extensions and put up links there: http://extensions.openoffice.org/project/Norwegian_dictionaries' is one of them, there may be more ... If you need to get permissions to use the same web page, please tell me and I will help :-)

There are som administrators, but they (as me) are mostly busy with other tasks :-/ But for what its worth, I approve :-)
