This was just the Sobig virus, forging Karl's email address. I recently added Karl to the list of non-subscribers allowed to post to the list, which is why this message made it through to the list.
During the recent virus outbreaks, more than 3000 messages have been stopped from reaching this list. The few rogue messages that actually reach the list are simply the tip of the iceberg.
