Hi Karl Ove,
I wonder whether you are aware that there is a Debian Description Translation Project (http://ddtp.debian.net/). It tries to translate package descriptions into several languages but Norwegian is missing for the moment. H01ger told me that I might ask you whether you in the KDE translation team might be interested to spend some time into this:

The interesting thing would be that you could point Norwegian people to such kind of tasks pages like the one above (just picked the japanese by chance). The pages doe exist also for Debian Edu but for the moment I have some stupid unicode problem - so Debian Science is only one example. The Debian Med team has also developed a page which shows the translation status of the descriptions of those packages that are interesting for Debian Med:

This page could be adapted for Debian Edu and because Norwegian has some kind of importance here this language could be added ... if there would be any Norwegian translations available.

Det veit eg ikkje, men eg vil iallfall tru at eventuelle omsettingar i Launchpad *ikkje* vert tilbakeførte til DDTP, og òg vil overstyra omsettingane i DDTP.

Eg reknar då med pakkeskildringane automatisk vert brukte i andre distribusjonar som baserer seg på Debian. Noko anna hadde vore veldig rart.
Men *buntu er den slemme ulven når det gjeld omsettingar, og derfor den (einaste) serien distroar eg på generelt grunnlag frårår folk som vil ha Linux på norsk å bruka. Skulelinux er basert på Debian, so der er det ikkje noko problem.
