Dear Cinelerra Translators, Most of cinelerra translations are outdated and there is no control over string changes inside the code.
Cinelerra has some native translations. I made a list of our 'last translators'.
they are: (language / last translator) DE / Jens Seidel tux-master@web.de ES / ga ga@kutxa.homeunix.org EU / ga ga@kutxa.homeunix.org FR / Jean-Luc Coulon (f5ibh) jean-luc.coulon@wanadoo.fr IT / Paolo Rampino info@clickma.it PT_BR / Rafael Diniz rafael@riseup.net SL / Ana Pavli¹iè ana.pavlisic@kiss.si
There is other translation in svn not even included in LINGUAS file: nb.po
I think that would be a good thing to have mantainers for each language, and 'announces' for string changes in code.
I talked to herman about this issue, and we could organize better our translation work.
I can help on fixing some of these translation issues
bye, rafael diniz
I once made a complete Dutch translation (nl_NL) but when I did this there were SO many duplicate strings. Or versions with &Yes / Yes and ... on the end and a version without.
I'm happy to do a new translation for the latest version, but is there a tool to reduce duplicate work?

thanks for remembering me to update the German translation. I translated it many years ago. The PO file in the source directory is outdated (the msgid's) and the Makefile in po/ (and somewhere else) does not contain gettext related code. I do not have time to analyse the build system and I strongly suggest that this is documented somewhere.
I could try to extract all messages from all source files but I'm not sure whether some subdirectories handle translations differently ... (maybe by using an own message catalog).
Document this and you will recieve most likely updates ...
